True storytelling - Speaking Up

It’s not always easy to share our inner lives with others – fear of judgement, embarrassment or dismissal can make it feel simpler to stay silent. But speaking up about who we are, how we feel and what we want can be transformative.

Whether you’ve broken the silence around a challenging personal issue, defended a friend in need of support, or simply found the courage to tell your ex that, no, you don’t like his poetry, come along to share your story in a friendly, encouraging environment, or listen to others share theirs. Stories must be true and they must be about the storyteller.
