True storytelling - Hopes and Fears in Whitechapel

Friday 25th November
19:00

Community Hall
49-50 Greatorex Street Whitechapel, E1 5NP

In London mythology nothing compares to Whitechapel, the inner fulcrum of London’s East End with a vivid social history characterised by movement, migration and change. This event seeks to catalogue the area’s unique diversity with an evening of oral history, storytelling and discussion. Listen to true and personal stories as residents consider their own personal hopes and fears as well as their hopes and fears for the local area. These storytellers are performing for the first time after participating in a workshop with Spark London, in which they learn to turn their personal experiences into tales to tell.

For more details about this night of true storytelling go here. This event is free entry!

If you are in the Whitechapel area come to our true storytelling workshop Tuesday 15th November and plan your story for the night.

Done in conjunction with Survey of London and the Being Human Festival.

Hosted by Spark London
